hi,
i am fred from ohio. i came upon seti last night and couldnt pass it up. i have always enjoyed science fiction and science. to be part of a giant collaboration that could potentially make the biggest discovery ever was just too much to miss. cudos to the guy that thought this one up. what a way to do research! good hunting!!

1. yes i believe et's do exist but we wont know until and if they want us to know. we are too far down the evolutionary ladder right now
2. no, time is the restricting factor. signal would take too long to get to where its going. by then, we'll be toast.
3. i run seti at home for the same reason i buy lottery tickets. you just never know for sure!!!
