Profile: Howard Sutt

Personal background
I live in the United States,I'm 48 years old and a disabled union pipefitter who specialized in control and mechanical systems (Commerical, Industrial, & Institutional).
Now I enjoy building home computers & networks at my own pace (stop & drop) and I guess you could call me a Mr. Fixit, I can't stand to see anything broken or abused, most people walk into a building and look at how pretty it is, I walk in and without thought automatically start looking at the mechanical, electrical, and control systems, I guess I did it for so many years its just automatic.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always thought that in this vast universe we couldn't be the only one's to populate a very small area of it, that's why I signed up with seti in 1999 to try and do my part to help find out where other civilizations exsist.
I believe this is a very important project and hope funding is always availible to keep it going, If I truely believed it wasn't worthwhile I wouldn't be writing this nor wasting my time and computer's to try and help.
I'm sure one day we will find ET, maybe not in my lifetime but someday, the thought of being impossible will be the norm. This reminds me of the days when everyone thought the world was flat, Boy did they get a big surprise!!!
Keep up the excellent work!!!
