Personal background |
Hi everyone!
I'am recent UC Berkeley alum. I got involved with SETI about two years ago, but then things carried me away, and I returned to SETI only a couple of months ago.
Currently I'm processing information on 2 machines: one's at work (my workstation) and one at home - my home server. Both are working 24x7 on this. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I don't think we'll find any signs of intelligent life in our galaxy. I've once read a hypothesis, that galaxies are like cells in the body: once there's life in one cell, the others sort of automatically know, that the spot is occupied, and no other intelligent life can evolve there. However, the other galaxies are still vacant.
I only wish I could live to the moment when we'll be able to fly beyond solar system and explore space on a much grander scale... |
