Hi I am a native New Yorker who believes that contact has already been made but we do not know enough to make it public information yet. I think that SETI is out to let the public know the truth and I will contribute any way I can to see it in my life time. I believe that the movie contact was created by the government to begin public awareness of our distant "friends". I also liked the movie stargate which is also a very possible scenario of the big picture.
