Personal background
I'm a Viet Nam error vet,For me it was error not era.I'm now old ,tired and hurting from some of the things that happened in my youth.I love computers.I have two of my own and two from the company that I work for.All are running SETI@home.I've made it into the top 2% of three million plus people. It feels good to something right this time.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There are too many Stars and planets out there for there not to be other life.
I hope that the first contact will be by radio or laser and we will have time to get our people ready for the meeting.I just hope that we will not be erased like some of the SCIFI movies show.
I don't think that a beacon is needed,as we constantly beam radio and TV signals across the galaxy. Hopefully whoever receives them will understand it's not real life.
I run SETI@Home to feel like I'm doing something important.
