Personal background
I'm just a guy trying to help
I Just turned 40 (DOB 11-11-61) {please hold while I weep for my lost youth}
I am currently single which is why S.E.T.I. is so important; it will increase the dating pool.

I have a web page which has not been changed in a while... I guess you would call it a cob-web page.

http://expert.home.insightbb.com/

I may be changing it soon... Never really know

Hobbies are;
Computers - Photography - Sci-Fi - Travel
I have a Convertible and I enjoy driving around with the top down. We also have a couple of drive-inn Theaters locally that I enjoy.

About The Photo:
I am currently on a Diet and have lost about 70 pounds since this photo was taken. I plan to loose more.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, I guess they will be discovered in the next 25 years probably by accident.
Pros. Lots of cool advances in technology
Cons. There could be a Darth Vader out there waiting to put another notch in his helmet.

2. Beacon could be a bad ideal, that would be like jumping in the ocean with a dead fish in you hand. Yes Flipper may be near by but do you really want to take the chance its Jaws. Grant it if a race advances to the point of space travel the majority of them would be peaceful. But as the events of the past few months have shown us (i.e. 9-11-2001) there are still a few wackos out there. The last thing we need is an ET crashing his little ship into our planet while screaming “ Fiznit!” ( Fiznit roughly translated means “ God be praised” ).

3. Just trying to help. Passive searching at this point is the best in my opinion. S.E.T.I. should submit a request that the at home software be loaded on all computers in government office, after all those systems also belong to the people.
