Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be the height of arrogance to believe that we are alone in the universe. However, I do not really believe that Mankind will ever bridge time and space in order to discover Extraterrestial life...the universe is too vast, the distance too great to cross, the window of opportunity too narrow in the context of time and/or parallel evolutionary tracks on nearby worlds (within 50 light years) to ever make contact. Before venturing into the void, Mankind should first practice to live in peace and harmony with his brothers and sisters right here on Earth where skin colors, religions, and cultures are probably as diverse as any that would be found...out there.
