| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I signed up for SETI@HOME because I've always had an interest in astronomy and the great mystery that is the Universe surrounding our little green planet. Maybe by listening hard enough, we'll hear the echos of a civilisation like ours. Maybe it will happen during my lifetime. Maybe it will be my processor that ferrets out the elusive signal from some distant land... Maybe. Anyway, my PC spends a lot of time not doing anything, so I might as well lend it to an interesting project when I'm not using it. |
