Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Hi there.
Imagine how large the universe is - if all information coming to us would fit to the hard disk, the hard disk will be as large as the universe... Isn't it true we live in the virtual reality not knowing we are in it?...
Think about exloring the world that is some fantasy world of it's owner. And who the owner is?... Noone knows as noone can get out of the Virtual as is.
SETI search is virtually looking for something that can prove sense of our existence, of our lifes. If we are the only ones of a kind, our world will subtract to a size of a ball that is Earth. And that is why are not alone :). There is not a question wheither the life is out there at the milionion-trilion stars. The question is - when we will find out about it...If ever? We have 3 bilion years to go according to astronomers - the sun will explode after that. Is this period big enough of finding the truth?...
