Hi, My name is Okechukwu John Newis aka Oke aka Davros (Doctor Who Villian). I am known as Davros not because I am a DW fan but because I am a wheelchair user and considered to be quite a menacingly intelligent individual, just like maniacal leader of the Darleks. I am 29 married and am presently working as a graphic artist.
I am educated to Post Graduate level in subjects ranging from Social Studies and Disability Issues to Computer Animation (BA Hons) and Digital Special Effects (Post Grad).
I enjoy all things to do with SciFi and Star Trek. Which is where my interest in space and Seti stems from. I am also very much into technolgy and computers. I don't get to spend as much time in front of the computer as I used to.
I am a tinkerer and have the bad habit of taking all things apart to find out how they work.
I am a true Nerd or as the Japanese would say 'Otaku' |

For anyone of us to even not consider the fact that extraterrestrial life must exist makes us quite possibly the most niave, self-absorbed, egotistical, childlike species in the known universe and beyond.
It is about time we as a species stopped fighting among ourselves and work together as a united team to prepare us for the day when we do meet another species. I am not saying that we are going to be invaded, I just think our chances of making a positive first contact would be greatly improved if we weren't so busy wiping ourselves out.
I mean, what incentive is there for any species that is already space faring and light-speed capable to come to this particular rock. When the indigenous inhabitances find it so easy to kill each other they would most certainly not hesitate to TRY and wipe them out. Of course being as advanced as they would have to be I don't think our most powerful weapons would do more than tickle and their response!! Enough Said!!
We should keep sending out information about ourselves and extend the hand of friendship to any and all who want to accept, whilst showing by example that we are capable of this.
But we must also be ready for whatever kind of response we may receive and I do truly believe we will one day get that response!!
