I'm messing with computers in my job and also in my spare time (how boring). :)
Don't be afraid: I also do other things. Like sports, helping on construction sites and I have much friends.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Great idea; could be mine.
Of course: such a little chance in room and time to find anything senseful. But why not? For myself I have so much computing capacity (like some others). No way to use all without this project.
I know: there also projects for searching chemical stuff combinations by example. I also know they are declared as sciences. But any time one company earns much money. I am sure: no user get anything of that value.
So I stay in projects who could get some credits for the whole mankind.
