Profile: Jim Shorney

Personal background
To boldly go where lots of others have gone before: to prove that obsolescence is relative, Windows is not the whole world, and that the best PC line ever made (IBM PS/2) is still viable for everyday tasks.

I suppose I'm sort of an eccentric, eclectic sort; DWM, 42 years old, living in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. Besides vintage IBM PS/2 hardware, my other interests include amateur ('ham') radio with emphasis on vintage R.L.Drake equipment, vintage audio, OS/2 Warp, Linux, and women (not necessarily in that order). More info can be found at my hopelessly disorganized web site at http://incolor.inetnebr.com/jshorney.

(I'm the one on the left in the picture. The other person is some guy from Star Trek... :-) )
