I think extraterrestrial life does exist. I have a hard time believing that it doesn't. Why would humans be the only living intelligent beings in the universe. With everything it takes for life to come into existent, and it happened on this planet, it only seems logical that it has happened else where, there are just too many other planets out there for it not to be.
I don't know if human will ever discover ET life. If they are intelligent, I think they would probally try to avoid us, just as we would try to avoid a gang fight in a downtown city street. I think that they would be scared to contact is if they knew anything about us, humans by nature, seem too unforgiven, too scared to accept anything as revolutionary as ET's. Just imagine how the general population would react, there would be so much fear, and retaliation.
