Personal background
Well I live in Central Florida and attend UCF for my degree in IT. But I also dabble in programming, web design, 3D Animation and art, and well I hate Windows (Wintendo), LINUX RULES! There really isnt anything more to tell about I'm a pretty boring person :(
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think ET exists? Of course I do otherwise why would of I downloaded and setup SETI@home? :) I find it extremly hard to belive that in that vast universe of countless galaxies billions of planets and we are the only one that offers life...... To belive that we are the center of the universe the only beings is just outright idiotic.

I think the possibility of us finding life other then Earth maybe slim more like I think the ET life will more then likly find us (Which I think has already happened in many cases) Although I think the SETI project is essential to the cause. If we are gunna find life out there, SETI is the way we will.

Transmitting a beacon is a superb idea. Information that is to be sent I would think would have to be our solar cordinates, and what else I have no idea other then prolly the only way to communicate off hand would be thru the use of mathmatics, I dont care who you are, where your from 1 1 will allways be 2...

Honestly I like the way that SETI@home is running. I know there is a addon called WU2WAV but that only does 1.47 .wav file, maybe a program that will record anything other then simple static and save it for later use.. Just a suggestion.

Thank-You SETI for offering this to the world, hopefully it may open this worlds eyes and hearts to the notion of life outside of earth.
