| I think SETI is an important endeavour for humanity, if for no other reason than that it keeps hope alive! I think SETI@home is a great way to use a widely-available resource for a low cost, push a few technological frontiers, and provide a chance for the average person to get involved. Until the average person sees exploration of and expansion into space as a worthwhile and necessary adventure, we will never get off this tiny little rock in any meaningful way. |
