I'm a simple guy who grew in Boston Ma who at present lives 40 miles outside of the city. Am almost 50 yrs old, but still feel 17 .. I work for a major corp in the IT Dept, which when I first started was the job to have and now after 5 yrs is just a J O B .. Hobbies ..?? Watching TV, which is interupted by bouts of fishing, music and of course beer & food. Seriously, I love Music, Sience, Fishing (I live on a pond) and I do watch alittle too much TV. Well this isn't any where close to the 2000 character limit, but I usually don't talk much about myself .. hate to blow my own horn in a way and probably said too much already ....

SETI & SETI@Home , I think is fantastic ...
I truely believe that extraterrestrial life.. no.. intellegent extraterrestrial life does exist. I'm not sure how or when we will discover other life , or if it hasn't already been discover in some circles. But SETI brings the possiility of discovery out in the open and offers it to everyone. As it should be, and hopefully where it will happen. I have great expections about a discovery, but also have some concerns & reservations. If intellegent life evolves out in the universe as it did here .. "Eat or be eaten ..." will they look on us as sentient bretheren or beasts of burden & food stuff. Well not to be mobid, I just think that we should at least be prepared for the unexpected. And by all means continue to search and use every possible avenues for discovery. |
