If so, when and how will humans discover it? - NO PLAN....
What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery? - I guess more a challange, than a risk.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? - NO.
Why do you run SETI@home? - First: Fun, Second: sharing ressouceres for a good thing.
