| I am a 35 year old male that has been interested in Science and Science Fiction since a child, and thus the belief of other intelligent civilizations existing beyond our planet. I currently reside in the Pacific Northwest. I work in the medical/healtcare field. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

As stated in the personal background portion, I am very interested in Science/Science Fiction, and thus the belief of life beyond our planet. Not just life in general, but more specifically the existence of intelligent civilizations. I cannot imagine a Creator of our universe, let alone our galaxy, that puts all the eggs in one basket called Earth. On a statistical note, given the trillions of stars and billions of potential planets, the odds are greatly in favor of the existence of life, including intelligent life.
I run SETI@home to help in the search. I believe that someday a signal will be found to confirm the existence of intelligent life. Whether it be SETI, a deep probe, or visual confirmation/visitation, SETI will make up a large piece of the proverbial "ET" pie. |
