Personal background
I've been interested in Outer Space since the old 70's TV show Project Blue Book, remember that one? It scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. For a while I slept in the hallway, where the aliens couldn't look in a window and see me! Now, my idea is more like the "visitors" in South Park!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think extraterrestrial life exists. There are just too many other planets, galaxies, and other heavenly bodies out there to have it not exist. I don't know if we ever will discover it, but SETI is currently our best shot.
