Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) I believe extraterrestrial life exists, to quote Contact "I'd say if it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space." We could discover extraterrestrial life today, tomorrow, or in 50 years, you really can't say for sure when they might discover us or vice versa. Well, they could teach us space travel and the like, medicine to cure cancer, AIDS, etc. They could carry some kind of disease that they are immune to, but we aren't, i.e. When the Pilgrims landed on North America and their contact with the Natives. They could be hostile, but if they were so many thousands of years ahead of us, it would seem pointless to conquer Earth.

2)I guess we could give it a shot, wouldn't hurt. We could send basic information about our planet, i.e. resources.

3)I run SETI@home because although I'm not on my computer 24/7, I might as well use it for something good when I'm not on the computer. I think the project is a very good idea. I can't think of any suggestions other then to keep up the good work.
