Personal background |
I live in Boston, Massachusetts. I've been a graduate student for a while, and will continue to be for many coming years, hopefully. I love nothing more than traveling around the world. I also love outdoor activities--parties, sport events, dining, shopping, you name it. Otherwise, I'd hook myself up with TV and Internet especially after school when I can't go out anywhere or have nothing else to do. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Well, I think it's a reasonable way to join a sort of advanced scientific project, which also sound futuristic, without becoming nerdish myself. I love the idea of sharing computer resources that ordinary people like me can make a contribution to it. In terms of idea, I strongly believe in extraterrestrial life. While I concede that it is elusive to pin down whether we will discover them, or vice versa, and when, the whole concept is still worthwhile in light of research project. It also help ensures that I squeeze most of my machine's cycles into something productive rather than wasting them. |
