Personal background
Hello,

my name is Andreas Runge, I was born in 1977 in Augsburg, a nice city in Bavaria, Germany.

Living near Augsburg with my wife and our small sweet son David. My interests are my family, listen to Music (good old Rock) and working on my computer. I´m working as a software programmer, too - sometimes I cannot see my PC anymore...

I´m a big Star-Trek fan and so is it a close reason why I like to support this great project...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I think theres some else intelligence out in the universe.

I think it´s a long time for the first contact (so much communication-problems, which form of communication is the best one?), but when the contact is here, the real problem begins to start.

Hope, that we share know-how with our new friends and don´t fight with them.
The universe is so big, we and the aliens have so much to learn about us that there´s no time for killing.

The time for the contact is not come yet. We cannot hold our planet in peace, why should we do it better with the aliens? We, the humans, are barbarians and need 100-200 years to learn to care ourself from us.

But the search for an contact is the first step on this long way. Hope we (and our next generations) probaly getting better. I´m ready to do my part for this new project, but all the others...?
