Personal background
I live in a small village in North Lincolnshire and moved here 2 years ago.
At my last birthday I reached 44 and still single
not to sure where life is going at the present time but that can be part of
the fun. I heard about SETI from the papersand a mate and have now been running
it for over a year with 260 units completed.
I am half way to getting a degree from the Open University in Enviromental
studies it helps at work as well.
I enjoy reading, most music depends upon the mood, geology, photography,
gardening and finding out about new things and people.
The computer I use is an AMD 500 126k Ram and a 20 gig hard drive which is
useful for the pictures I take and keep.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well we have to keep looking out to find new frountiers and if you don't try
you can't fail. In this case it will take a long time to prove failure as we
would have to vist the Stars. So here is to our sucess when ever it comes
and in what ever form. As a race we need a challange that will extend our
thoughts and horizons to allows us to grow past short term needs to long term
asperations.
I am in favour of discovery what ever it brings wheather it of us by others
or by us. Ot may well be one of the few frountiers left that may cause us to
become one people to live and work together.
The project needs to keep running and expanding and looking into new areas
of the sky, also to look for possiable types of beacon or message groups.
Don't know what these could be as I do not know that much about the field.
