Profile: Heri

Personal background
I am biomedical engineer and 35 years old.
My Athlon 2000 is powerful enought so that I can run Seti all the time as background task.

My hobby is rinding an Aprilia Futura and I am interesting in all kind of physic and medical science.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am not shure if seti will ever find anything but if we don't search we won't find anything!

I am shure that extraterresttrial life exists.
500 years ago people even thought that the earth is the center of the universe, we learned that it isn't.
And we will learn as well that we are not alone in the universe. But I wonder if we have the chance to find extraterrestric life within the next years.

Although running Seti all the time raises the energy consumption of a MODERN computer significantly (about additional 30W!, measured by myself) I think that it would be a vaste of ressources not to use it for scientific purpuses.

Universities spend so much money for computers and it costs me almost nothing to help number crunshing for seti!
