We've been working on the SETI Program for a few years now with several different names and finally established this one. We've been hard at work trying to get SETI working on as many computers as we can find and hope to add more in the future. This is an exciting process and we're glad to be a part of it. Some information on how we're doing is listed below:
P4 - 2.4Ghz with 512MB Ram
Athlon T-Bird 1.4Ghz with 512MB Ram
PIII 750Mhz with 768MB Ram
PII 300Mhz with 256MB Ram
Celeron 466Mhz with 32MB Ram
iMac G3 400Mhz with 192MB Ram
Curious about how much time it takes to complete a unit? Well... The P4 and the Athlon XP take about 4hrs per work unit, While the T-Bird and PIII take about 20hrs. If that seems kind of long for 1 work unit, then you'd be amazed to find out that it takes almost one whole week for the Celeron 466Mhz to complete one work unit.
