Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I doubt, that out of the billions and billions of solar systems out there, that we are alone. There must be at least a few other planets out there with the capabilities to support life, thought they may not be friendly. Which is why I don't think we should send out a beacon or other probe. If we give too much information, they might learn and exploit our weaknesses. I know this probably sounds a bit to the extreme, but you never know...
