Personal background
I live in a small town is Kansas. I started using Seti@home in hopes to find my real parents. They sent me to Earth when I was really young. My Earth parents John & Martha told me they found me when I was about 3 years old.

For those of you that are extremely gullable................
I'm joking!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started using Seti@home round about the year 2000. I was averaging around 110-120 hours per work unit until a friend of mine told me that I should keep it running all the time without the actual screen saver running. This cuts down the amount of processor use that the video card takes up so that seti can run faster he explained. Now that I've done that I average about 30 hrs per work unit. Big difference huh. I was just thinking that maybe not everybody knows this, so maybe we could get it out to the public, and so that we can get more work units done at a faster rate. Or maybe there has been something to that fact already mentioned and I just missed it. Or maybe, just maybe people don't want there CPU being used all the time, Who know for sure?

Now as far as what I believe when it comes to otherworldly intelligence. I believe that the universe is way to big a place for life to exist on only one planet. I think we need to open our minds as far as we can to explore the possibilities of how life evolves on other planets. It seems to me that every article or story I've read gauges it to how life started on Earth. That to me is way off base. Because life evolves to its habitat in my opinion, water being the primary source of life for Earth. So what if a species evolved around something like ether, or maybe something that is not even on our own periodic table. There are endless possibilities out there and I honestly believe that one-day we shall find one of these possibilities.

Now for us to really achieve this goal, I think that we first need to unite as a human race. Set aside any differences we have, so we can all achieve certain goals together. This is my point of view I guess. If we as humans can't get along with each other simply because of skin color, religion, or nationality, or for whatever reason, how are we gonna react to something that isn't human.

Thanks to all, and God Bless
