Personal background
At the moment I'm 19, living in the unfortunate town of Bethlehem, PA, USA. I work as an EMT part time, full time I'm a nursing school student at the local community college. I spend alot of my time online, surfing, playing games, etc.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life has to exist, somewhere. The question is, how far away and how advanced will they be? I can imagine that our quests to find E.T. (pardon the reference) would go the same as it's going now. We have all the equipment that is needed at the moment, it's the area that we can cover with it that matters. The only thing that we don't have helping us would be time, but it takes time for the signals we're looking for to get to us. Benefits and dangers, well, the obvious benefit would be to know that we have others out there aside from us who are carving a life out of this universe. Drawbacks, well, with all new peoples, there will be fear and racism.
