| I live in NW Illinois in the USA, am 47 years old, married with 2 children. I am a psychologist, and my wife and I work as therapists. We both also love the arts, she being a dance therapist/dancer, while I am a psychodramatist and drum circle facilitator. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

My first interest in psychology as a teen was a facination with ESP and other Psi phenomena. Somehow, that seems to tie in with my desire to support SETI on 2 computers at home and one at the office. I love how Pentium 4, 1500 megahertz machine smokes through the data.
I think intelligence is all around us, not just in animal and plant forms. And I suspect there are other life forms that are evolved to our level or higher, though my science fiction reading leads me to marvel at how many different forms such intelligent beings might take.
I support SETI because it is a celebration of our sense of place in the cosmos, and of our deep desire to encounter the Other.
