Profile: Robert Flake

Personal background
Hi! My name is Robert Flake and I'm 32 yrs old. This may make me sound like a "geek", but who cares, my hobby is Star Trek. I read all of the novels, see all the movies, watch all of the series (re-runs too!) and collect anything trek related. I also like to watch the skies at night, just in case someone stops by! I had a small telescope until a recent accident destroyed it, so for now I use the good old "naked eyes" method ( not as reliable and absolutely no magnification) but I am working on getting a new one as soon as possible.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think E.T. life exists? I sure as hell hope so, and hopefully they'll be "Vulcan-like" and help keep the savage human race in check until we are ready so we don't screw up the galaxy like we are the planet. I don't think humans will discover e.t. life, I think it will discover us, because we spend to much money on the wrong projects and not enough on the right ones ( like SETI) I am currently running SETI@home on both of my home computers, just trying to do my part to possibly help bring a future with other lifeforms a little closer to my lifetime.
