Personal background
I am 29 years old, from Romania and i live in the US.
I graduated robotics and i work as electrical ingineer in power conversion. I like to travel, to see this beautifull planet, but i don't have much time and money to hangarround the world. I read over and over Jules Verne and, as himself, i travel only in my mind. The office computer is running all the time seti, while the personal computer only when is on for few hours a day.

I get arround 7 hours per work unit on PIII/933 MHz and 6 hours on Duron/1 GHz, ofcourse running Seti CLI. A Pentium M 1.6 GHz is extremely fast, only 3.5 hours per work unit.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, i'm sure intelligent life exists out there. The humans are not ready yet to get in contact with intelligent life in the universe. You know that joke: Earth is a nice planet, but it is such a pity is populated. Anyway, I think SETI is not enough. Something bigger has to be done. Instead of listening we should send signals in the universe. The efforts should be concentrated in space flight, new propulsion technologies, to get out of this planet and search for the others. Antigravity and hyperspace is the key. In the mean time we are busy discovering how many moons Neptun has and we are not even able to put foot on Mars.
