Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
If our own planet can have such diversity of life everywhere, from the coldest to hottest regions, desert or swamp, sky and sea, then I know that life must be flourishing elsewhere.
Anything that can unite us as a world, and can force us to think of ourselves not as residents of our tiny towns but as citizens of one planet is a good thing. Anything that we can share globally regardless of race or religion is a good thing.
I'm pleased that Seti@Home was started so that we can help in the search for life. I would like to see the website include news of data searched by participants that has proved to be helpful.
