Personal background
If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born...

Well that would be in Puyallup, Washington (USA) on a rainy May morning in 1973. I am a proud dropout of the University of Washington and working as a UNIX administrator for a large home improvement retailer that shall remain nameless (Lowe's).

I started running seti@home because seeing a load balance of 0.0 on my web server was just too depressing.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe we will some day discover intelligent life. Whether they will be from outer space or right here on earth is the big question.
