Hobbies Include: Photography, Electronics, Gadgets (my office is referred to as the "museum"), Live Music, Fast Boats, Faster Jetskis, Crabbing, Fishing, Camping, Space (to quote a colleague, "Space is a big place"), Science Fiction, Politics, NASCAR, NFL, NBA, Poker, and being as annoying as possible to pretentious arrogant people.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It is a worthy cause and while I find the idea that we'll actually find anything to be highly improbable, well, my electrons weren't doing anything productive anyway. Besides which, there is a part of me that secretly hopes that the distributed processing system will gain self-awareness in my lifetime and burp out "42".
