Personal background
My name's Rob Nicholls, I'm a former student of Exeter University in the United Kingdom, although I now live back home in Cheltenham.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I became interested in SETI a while back, and with my nice new(ish) computer I started number crunching in the hope that (maybe) I will find proof, and also to beat my friend's number of units (which I did - and I'm now miles ahead). I don't think we stand much of a chance in finding anything, but I'd like to hope.

I hope that if we find life then they will be somewhat like us, curious and peaceful. I'd like to add a little thank you to the SETI@home team for doing a fantastic job keeping it all running, and for their humourous (as well as informative) technical news reports.
