| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

My opinion regarding SETI? Simple, if I didn't believe in the possibility of someone else out there then I wouldn't be running SETI@home to find out if they do exist. Then again we could be the most advanced world in the reachable galaxy, not that that is likely but we won't know until some one or something from out there actually makes themselves publicy known to us. According to consiracy theorist we already have had many visitors come here but like they said in the movie M.I.B., earthlings just aren't ready to handle the thought of not being the only thing of intelligent life that there God has made.
As far as transmitting a beacon, we should do that as well so as to make some sort of contact with some else like us who is scanning the sky for signals from others.
