Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life exists because universe is too big to only have one populated planet. I think that we will discover ET life within the next 10 years by launching a deep space telescope that will orbit pluto. Well it is a more advanced life we could learn better ways of doing things, but we could also discover more powerful and deadly diseases than we have ever known before.
I think that we should transmit a beacon for others to find. We should send images of daily life in different parts of the world along with what we know scientifically so far.
I run SETI@home to help in the search for whatever is out there in hopes that we are not alone. I would like to see more servers out there pumping data out to the SETI@home members to speed up the distribution of the packets.
