Personal background
My name is Will Payne and I joined SETI@Home for various reasons. One is I enjoy learning new things about our universe.

I joined a group of online computer gamers about a year ago and they have been a part os SETI for some time now and I figured what the heck, it looks interesting. So I joined up with the Shattered Star Confederation in their attempts to help with SETI.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes I do believe Extraterrestrial life exists. When and how humans will discover it? Well honestly I have no clue, but I do believe when the time comes and everything falls into place it will happen. Possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery? Countless benefits could be there, they may be more advanced than us, then again, they may just be at the same stage or below our stage in discovery. As for dangers, fear not what you don't know.

2. No opinion on this topic at the moment.

3. I run SETI@home on two computers and mainly like most people say, to get my money's worth out of my comupter. Give it something to do while I'm asleep or away from home and not on it. As for views on the project, I think it's a good thing and hope more and more people get involved. The more people the better the chance we will find life on other planets.

No suggestions at this time.
