| I'm 21, from the Chicago area, and currently work at Argonne National Lab. I attend Northern Illinois University and major in Mechanical Engineering. My hobbies are centered more around outdoor activities (kayaking, biking, hiking) and I really only deal with computers at work. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Of course extraterrestrial life exists!!! Will we ever find it? Probably not, but it's still worth a try. What else do we have to do with our PCs when we're sleeping?
I am a fan of SETI@home more out of respect for the founders and their idea of utilizing a network of home PCs to process data than for the actual "search." I hope that SETI is successful, but the odds are, admittedly, rather bleak. |
