Profile: Scott A. Long

Personal background
Working as a Senior Lotus Notes Developer for the past 9 years has been more of fun than work. I have always had an affinity for the development and programming, even though I do not always know how to develop in a given language, I can tell you exactly where it is broken, and maybe offer suggestion on how to fix it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always held onto the belief that there are more intelligent beings in this universe than just us. The discovery of these life forms will not happen until we get to a more enlightened state of being, which allows us to see we are not the top of the chain, but a mear link in a very long mobius thread.

If we get to the point where we can transmit the information to long distances, such as other galaxies, we should be offering friendship and exchange of information to any who would be able to respond.

I run the Seti@home program in the hopes that one day we will find those who can help us understand where we are going, but this is in the hopes they have evolved beyond us.
