Personal background
I'm just another physics dork.

I attended the University of Washington and graduated in 2004.

I added an amusing little picture I made - I hope you get a kick out of it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. The universe is too large for us to be the only "intelligence" in it.
Chances are we'll never find "them" (because of the distances involved), but that doesn't mean we shouldn't look.

2. We are already transmitting a beacon; radio is our beacon. The question
to ask is, "Is this the beacon we want to be sending?"

3. I like SETI at home because it allows non-scientists a chance to
contribute to a scientific endeavor. I am also very keen on this idea of
truly distributed programming and data analysis.
