Personal background
Hi all ET chasers!
Seems like only yesterday I heard about the SETI project. My first download was May 25 1999. I remember attempting for two or three weeks to get connected to the SETI server to download the program.
Seems so long ago.

I am originally from Oklahoma City where I chased tornadoes before it was cool to be a chaser. (1970's) During those ten years as a chaser I spotted six tornadoes. In 1984, I moved to CA. On weekends, I look forward to my trips to Palomar Mountain to visit the Palomar Observatory. I love going to the mountains and desert to star gaze. One of my all time highs was viewing Haley’s Comet, awesome!!! Unfortunately, I spend most of my time at work, working for the man......lol.

I love to travel and have visited Indonesia, China & South Korea. You are very likely to find me tucked away in the local Hard Rock Cafe just relaxing and enjoying the tunes.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I firmly believe that ET does exist. Contact could be today or decades from now, who knows. As far as benefits & dangers? Confront them as they occur.

We have the technology, why not! The name Pioneer comes to mind....hmmmmm.

It gives my PC something to do when I am not home or at work.
