Personal background
Captains log... Stardate -322974.85 - So, you're surfing the net, late Friday night, and you stumble upon some jerk, trying to be funny. That's not me, I’m the other guy, trying to copy his old, lame jokes. Although I spend 90% of my time in front of my computer, I don't really know much. I crave knowledge, I try to know everything about everything. Right now, most of my time, I study different kinds of programming. Next on my list are design, drawing, video-editing, 3d, and lots and lots of studying on howstuffworks.com. My only interest besides computers is Tolkien. I really enjoy reading Lord of the rings, and although I don't run around in the woods, imagining I’m a hobbit, I read everything I can find about the great fantasy universe that Tolkien has created.

And yes, the stardate is correct!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Thoughts about SETI..... hmm, I don't know. I guess this search for aliens is ok, I don't expect to find anything soon, but I’ll let you know if there is any alien "hello’s” in any of my workunits. I guess I find SETI interesting because of three things. 1. I really love the mysteries of deep space, and I’m a big fan of both Star-Trek and Starwars. 2. I love to compete. I take pleasure in processing more workunits than my classmates. 3. Something about this enormous online community of dedicated "space-explorers". This is warp-engineer DPhreak signing off.
