Personal background
I have to apologize for the picture of myself. It was
taken a few years ago at a Halloween party and was the only one I could find.
Anyway … my name is Gary and I live on the coastline of Massachusetts about
twelve miles south of Boston. I recently celebrated the second anniversary of
my 22nd birthday. I retired at the ripe old age of 39 and spend most of my time
working on my web sites. My first computer was a "Tandy-1" with a one
MB hard drive and I think the processor was a squirrel running around in a wheel. ☺
I could play solitaire, but only with half a deck. I now use a Pentium 4 with
a 120GB hard drive and 2 GIG's of RAM and a 2.8GHz processor. This computer will
be obsolete tomorrow.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Whenever I am asked whether or not I believe there is intelligent life on other planets, I usually suggest that the person look up at the stars at night and keep in mind that each and every star is a separate solar system similar to our own. Let's just say for the sake of argument that each visible star has only five planets revolving around it. The number of possible planets that could sustain some type of life is staggering! For us to assume that we are the only "intelligent" life would be pure ignorance.
I only hope that if we DO find life out there that they are as friendly and as cute as the alien in E.T. the movie. Better stock up on M&M's
