I can't see how extraterrestrial life may NOT exist. It would be such a waste...
But I´m not that sure we will find it by means of radio signaling. We have to consider time & space. Talking about inteligent life, of course. In the case of non inteligent life, I think we will be surprised within the next ten years, if we don't kill each other until then.
And I also think we should be considering some sort of colonization on a very short period of time, if we want to survive to the mess we alredy made to this planet.
In a pessimistic point of view, perhaps humans will be known as the *planet blaster race*
