Does extraterrestrial life exist? I believe so and I do believe that Earth Governments have covered up as much as they can. So discovery has occurred just not for the general public. There is a possibility that alien life will not be peaceful so I am sure that is one reason Earth Governments decide to tread with caution.
I do believe television programs and hollywood movies that depict space and aliens in good and bad situations are really put in place to get us ready for the day aliens will be as common as Charmin Toilet Paper (just don't squeeze the aliens!). I personally believe the advancements we've made in military and computing over the last several decades have had some assistance from alien technologies to help push us along to evolve our technology much quicker.
If aliens do exist, as I believe they do, I certainly hope I will witness a peaceful meeting of our species. The work SETI is doing is great - it brings visibility to possibilities. And that makes life worth living. |
