Personal background
We live North of Atlanta, GA. I am the mom and software
geek in the family while my 12 yr old son is the hardware
geek. Between the two of us, we guru new computer users
throughout our family and neighborhood. When asked why we
have "such a boring screen saver" as SETI we love to tell
about SETI and the work we hope to help them accomplish. I
have compiled a "User's Guide" from the SETI site that we
burn onto our "New User Information and Help" cd. We hope
this effort has netted you a few more users.

The hardware geek/son says we should start a group and
make all new users and others we help join. Perhaps we
will.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We do not believe we are alone. With all the complexities
of life we are assured that another recipe created a
different race/species. Even on our planet, minute changes
in condition and specifics in adaptations created thousands
of species of the same genus. We believe it is unscientific
to assume that only a certain recipe can create a race of
intelligent beings. Our own planet is a perfect example; we
believe humans are probably NOT the most intelligent
species. This is why we are proud to be SETI@home members.
As a member we believe we are attempting to enlighten other
as to the possibility that the human race is a very small
part of the cog in the wheel of the cosmic lifepool.
