Profile: Beowulf

Personal background
I am from germany, 29 years old and work as a print-media designer. Btw. my nick isnt a hint to me running a beowulf cluster ;)
I took part at the RC5-64 project, and since it was finished i looked for a new similar project to put my computers free power to a good use. And as i considered the idea behind Seti quite interesting, i registered and started searching.
I dont expect us to really find something, but to quote someone i know: "you'll never know if you dont go, you'll never shine if you dont glow" ;)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
yes, i think there could be extraterrestric life out there. but when or if we will find them i dont know, i guess that depends mostly on luck, as its nearly impossible to say at which part of the universe they might life, even hundred years of seti are useless when their home is 10 million lightyears away.

i participate at seti just because i'd like to put my computers power to use in any way while im not sitting at the keyboard, plus its nice to see my name in some kind of statistic :)
