My name is Peter and I'm a 19 year old Freshman at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. I'm originally from VT and am loving it down here at RIDER!

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

The universe is simply too huge for Earth to be the only planet which has capabilities to sustain life. There has to be other life out there, at the very least simplistic aquatic life if not far superior and advanced civilizations out there waiting to be found.
I believe we should be transmitting beacons and signals for others to find. We should be sending out greetings and Earth's corridinates in all known langauges. I think we should also include many forms of music. Also we should transmit how our society lives, and different ways of life. Maybe some history as well... we should transmit information about Earth such as history so any foreign intelligent life and can learn about us. Again, in all known langauges.
I run SETI@home to aid in the search for ET life. I believe it is only a matter of time before life from somewhere besides Earth is found and contacted. |
