Personal background |
I was born in Queens, NY on April 5, 1981. Currently, I live in New Jersey, but spend most of time going to school at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. I am an American Studies major. If you don't know what that is, well, guess. It's pretty self-explanatory. I also like science fiction. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I like SETI@home. I generally leave my computer on all day and all night anyway, so I figure when I'm not actually using it, someone else can benefit from my spare processor cycles. I suppose I could be using my spare cycles to do more constructive things like cure cancer, break encryption schemes, or win money, but I think I'd rather give them to SETI@home. Hey, I'm a sci-fi junkie, so I'd like to believe that humans aren't the only form of "intelligent" (I use that term loosely) life in the universe. Call me an optimist, but I think we'll see extraterrestrials in our lifetime. |
